Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Byzxpo handles personal information on byzxpo.com and in the Byzxpo mobile apps.

• Account details: name, email, password (stored only as a secure hash), country, phone and photo if you add them, language and notification settings.
• Business information you provide: listing details, contact information, photos, products, services, deals, events, customers and leads you record.
• Content and activity: reviews, enquiries and messages, saved businesses and addresses, businesses you follow, search history, and notes, reminders and tool entries you save.
• Location: with your permission the app uses your device's location to show businesses near you. We use it for that request and don't keep a history of your movements. Addresses you save are stored.
• Payments: handled by Stripe on the website. We don't receive or store full card numbers; we keep payment records such as amount, date, plan and, for our records, the card brand and last four digits.
• Device and usage: IP address, device and browser type, app version, pages and screens viewed, and crash and error reports.

• to run the Services: accounts, listings, search, maps, messaging, reviews and tools;
• to keep the Services safe: verifying emails, preventing fake reviews, spam and fraud;
• to send service messages (verification codes, password resets, enquiries, reviews on your business, updates from businesses you follow) and, if you allow, push notifications;
• to process payments and keep financial records;
• to understand usage and improve the Services;
• to comply with law and enforce our Terms.

Business listings are public. Reviews are public with your name. Enquiries and messages are shared only with the business you contact (and with you). Your email, phone and saved items are not shown publicly.

We share information with providers that help us run the Services, only for that purpose:

• Stripe — payments on the website;
• SparkPost — sending email;
• Google Cloud — hosting uploaded photos and files;
• Google Maps Platform — maps, address search and location lookups;
• Google Gemini — generating results in the business research tool (the text of your research request is sent to it);
• Expo — delivering push notifications to the app;
• Sentry — server error reports;
• Vercel Analytics and Google Analytics — website usage measurement.

We don't sell personal information and we don't share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. We may disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or as part of a merger or acquisition (with notice to you).

We keep account information while your account is open. When you delete your account we erase your name, email, phone and photo and cancel subscriptions; reviews you wrote stay, shown as "Deleted user". Financial records are kept as long as the law requires (usually 7 years). Saved calculator results expire after a year. Logs are kept for a limited time and then archived or removed.

• See and update your details in Account → Edit profile.
• Choose email and push notifications in Account → Notifications, and turn off location in your phone's settings.
• Delete your account in Account → Delete my account (details on the Account & Data Deletion page).
• Ask for a copy of your data, or for correction or deletion, at privacy@byzxpo.com. Depending on where you live (for example California or the EU/UK), you may have further rights, including to object or restrict processing and to complain to your data-protection authority. We won't discriminate against you for using them.

The Services are not for children under 16. We don't knowingly collect their information; if you believe a child has given us information, contact privacy@byzxpo.com and we will delete it.

We protect information with encryption in transit, hashed passwords, access controls and monitoring. No system is perfectly secure. Our providers may process information in the United States and other countries; where required we use appropriate safeguards.
